Do you have a busy schedule and do not have the time for group classes?
Do you have a young puppy under 12 weeks and prefer to have your trainer socialize and train him, then get follow-up sessions?

What is "Private Training"? Private training means you are getting 1-on-1 sessions that take place in the comfort of your home / yard, or other locations depending on the training needs of your dog. Private Training is a great choice if you need that extra care without other students around, or if your dog needs that extra attention.

We encourage you to read our philosophy to familiarize yourself with the kind of training we use.

SERVICES WE OFFER:

1) Manners and Obedience - Relationship-based program. Great for all dogs of any age. If your dog is a very young puppy, this program will also give you guidance on proper socialization.

2) Behaviour Training - Behaviour Training is customized to your dog's needs and is great for excessive barking, resource guarding, reactivity, leash aggression, fearful behaviour, and/or mild separation anxiety (for high separation anxiety, we can refer you to a specialist).

3) Coming soon - Private boarding for small dogs or puppies (under 20 pounds) available to past or present clients only. Please inquire.

1) Manners and Obedience - This program is for all puppies including adult dogs without behaviour issues:

We start with an initial consultation. This first meeting is a great way for me to assess your dog, ask questions, and discuss the best training plan for you and your dog. We discuss investment, what to expect, and length of program. This initial consultation is done in the comfort of your own home.

INVESTMENT - Manners and Obedience:

--Initial consultation: $150.

--Follow-up private session: $135

--Packages: 1 initial consultation + 2 follow-up coaching sessions: $410.

--Packages: 3 follow-up sessions (after purchase of an initial consultation): $390

All sessions in a package must be used within 4 months of the first session or from the initial consultation. Payment and contract will be required to get you started on a follow-up session or packages after the initial consultation.

Some of the topics that may be covered in Manners and Obedience training (depending on your dog's needs):

-Socialization

-Door manners

-Leash walking

-Crate training

-House training (puppies)

-Adding a new puppy to the family

-Chewing, digging, mouthing, etc.

-Basic obedience

-Confidence-building games.

2) Behaviour Training:

INVESTMENT - Behaviour Training:

--Initial consultation: $250.

--Follow-up private session: $150

--Packages: 1 initial consultation + 2 follow-up coaching sessions: $500.

--Packages: 3 follow-up sessions (after purchase of an initial consultation): $420

Dogs who benefit from our behaviour modification plans:

-Dogs who are shy around people, fearful, shut down;

-Dogs who have mild anxiety when left alone;

-Dogs who are reactive to fast moving objects (cars, bikers, joggers, etc.),

-Dogs who are reacting to other dogs while on a leash;

-Dogs who are possessive over their food, treats, and/or toys;

-Dogs who practise nuisance behaviour: jumping, barking, biting/nipping (including puppy biting), etc.

*We highly encourage you to first see your vet for a full check-up, full blood panel (with thyroid), and x-rays if necessary, especially if your dog is an older dog, if your dog has allergies, or has had gut issues in the past. Dogs are champion at hiding their pain, and when there is pain, learning cannot happen.

3) Coming soon: Private boarding (and training if required) for small dogs (under 20 pounds) or puppies under 12 weeks of age: $150 per day for 1 dog.

Worry-free private boarding and training, available to past or present clients only, for small dogs under 20 pounds and young puppies. Coming soon. Please inquire.

~Payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. Payments are all due in full upon request. Traveling charges, parking, or any additional overtime is due upon request. We encourage e-transfers as the main form of payment to wagdogs.ca@gmail.com . Sorry, at this time, we do not accept credit cards or cheques. If you need to cancel a booking and re-schedule a session, please give us 48 hours notice so we can reschedule your session at a more convenient date/time to you. Your session shall be forfeited with less than 24 hours notice. Our goal is to create a convenient schedule for you and your dog. Please book your favorite spots early!
